Fish fry is a favourite dish enjoyed all over India. The Masala which adds the flavour to fish fry is what makes it more appetising. It’s also a staple in South Indian daily food intake. The recipe mentioned here is the basic fish fry Masala recipe.

The main ingredients for basic fish fry Masala are

Chilli powder             – 1 tbsp

Turmeric powder      – 1/2 tsp

Fennel powder          – 1 tsp

Ginger Garlic Paste  – 1 tbsp

Salt                                – 1 tsp

Pepper                          – 1 tsp

Mix all these ingredients with little water to make a paste.

Marinate the fish pieces with this Masala for at least half an hour and then shallow fry or deep fry. Optionally you can also add curry leaves to the marinated pieces.

Garnish with sliced onions.
