Pasta is an Italian food which comes in various sizes and shapes. They are loved by children as well as adults. They can be made in a variety of dishes and one of the common dishes is using white sauce in pasta. It’s quite simple to make and is quick for an easy and delicious dinner.

For 2 persons, 

Ingredients –

  • 2 cups of pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1/2 tomato chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cups milk
  • 2 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • Salt and pepper
  • Mozarella Cheese (optional)

    Directions –

    1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta for 20 minutes or till just cooked (Al dente). 

    2. Meanwhile, in another pan  heat olive oil. Add in chopped garlic, onions and mothered tomatoes and motherland sauté for a minute till tomatoes turn mushy. 

    3. In a bowl of half cup water, stir in 2 tbsp flour. Add in this flour water mixture to the pan. Add salt and pepper. Cook for 1 minute. 

    4. Stir in milk without clumping.

    5. Add seasoning and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and allow to thicken. If it is too thick, add water. If it is too runny, add flour.

    6. Mix in the hot drained pasta and grated cheese. Remove from flame.

    Serve hot garnished with extra cheese.
